HP Envy All-In-One
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My Desktop HP Envy All-In-One with Windows 10 has Secure Boot enabled. That is a good thing. However, will a HP rescue USB work if Secure Boot is enabled? From the knowledge base I understood that bootable devices will be blocked. Anyhow I have to change the boot order because by default the first one is the OS Boot Manager.

No doubt you are right.

I just considered the case where a PC/BIOS does not have a Legacy option, it is only a secure boot Main Board.

Asus et al seem to do Secure Boot only.

Linux Distro's will boot on a Secure Boot system I am sure.

Hi

Dunno.

What I do is make a Microsoft USB that will work from here, and add in HP software etc as needed.

To get started, you will first need to have a licence to install Windows 10. You can then download and run the media creation tool. For more information on how to use the tool, see the instructions below.

Sorry, I am pretty sure Secure Boot will block this device. See:

The question is, will this also be the case with a HP software loaded usb. See:

Thanks
