Compaq 8200 Small Form Factor PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I was trying to update to Windows 11 because I am in the Windows Insider Program but I keep getting the error message; "Secure boot unsupported". I checked the system info (msinfo32) and saw that my Bios are set as UEFI but secure boot is unsupported. In my Bios, under security, there is no option with the name secure boot at all. I am very confused because my PC is set up in the right way but for some reason Secure Boot is unsupported.

Here is my PC info:

Hi:

Your PC is too old to have secure boot.

Only PC's that could have come with Windows 8 and newer from the factory have a secure boot setting.

The newest OS that would have come with your 8200 Elite SFF is W7.

Your PC will not run W11 for more reasons that not having secure boot...

It does not have an Intel 8th gen core processor, only an Intel 2nd gen core processor.

It does not have a TPM 2.0 device, only 1.2.

I am in the Windows Insider Program

My suggestion is to keep your computer as your "every-day" computer, and purchase new components (case, motherboard, video-card,  processor, RAM, small SSD, CD/DVD, keyboard, mouse, monitor) that are compatible with Windows 11. Then, do all your Windows Insider testing/feedback on this system. My guess is that you probably already have some of these components.
