My laptop was showing screen flickers and frequent black out screen since 1 month. Now since 3 days my laptop is being crashed and showing blue box notice "boot device not found - please install an operating system on your hard disk". On and off laptop works for 30-40 min and shows same thing.

@Dr_Digvijay_27, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Boot Issues!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Check Hard Drive Connection:

  • Turn off your laptop and remove the battery if possible.
  • Open the back cover and ensure the hard drive is firmly connected.
  • Reassemble the laptop and turn it on.

Run Hard Drive Diagnostics:

  • Restart your laptop and during the boot process, press F2 or ESC to enter the BIOS/UEFI.
  • Navigate to diagnostics tools and run the hard drive test.

Check Boot Order:

  • Enter BIOS/UEFI setup by pressing F2, F10, or ESC during startup.
  • Ensure that the hard drive is set as the primary boot device.

Reset BIOS/UEFI to Default Settings:

  • Enter BIOS/UEFI setup again and choose the option to reset settings to default.

Check for System Recovery Options:

  • Attempt to boot into the recovery partition by pressing F11 during startup.
  • If it prompts you to reinstall Windows, follow the on-screen instructions.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
