Hi. My computer has really slowed both online and when working with files. I guess that I need to clear my Cache but don't know how to do so on my HP desktop. Seems to be either that or my SSD drive is reaching the end of it's life! Suggestions?

@FnBoB, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
If your HP Pavilion has slowed down both online and when working with files, the issue could be due to cache buildup or even an aging SSD.
Start by clearing temporary files hit Windows key+R then type the following one after the other:
- temp
- %temp%
- prefetch
You can also run Disk Cleanup (Win + R > cleanmgr) to free up additional space.
Next, check your SSD health by running" wmic diskdrive get model, status " in Command Prompt, if it reports Caution or Bad, the SSD may be failing.
Low storage can also slow down performance, so ensure you have at least 15-20% free space by moving large files to an external drive or deleting unnecessary ones.
If system files are corrupted, running " sfc /scannow "and " DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth " in Command Prompt (Admin) can repair them.
