When starting my PC, de screen is loading “Wijzigingen aan de computer ongedaan maken”. Once every couple of minutes, the PC restarts and returns to the same loading screen. What can I do?

@Edwin10393, Hi there, and welcome to HP Support Community!

Thank you for reaching out with your concern. I'm glad to assist you today.

The message “Wijzigingen aan de computer ongedaan maken” typically appears when Windows is trying to roll back failed updates. If your HP desktop is stuck in a reboot loop with this message, here are some steps you can try to resolve it:

Option 1: Interrupt the Boot to Enter Recovery

  1. Force shutdown the PC by holding the power button for 10 seconds.
  2. Repeat this 2–3 times until you see “Preparing Automatic Repair” or the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE).
  3. In WinRE, go to:
    • Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings
    • Click Restart, then press F4 to boot into Safe Mode.

Option 2: Use System Restore

If you reach WinRE:

  1. Go to Troubleshoot > Advanced options > System Restore.
  2. Choose a restore point before the issue started.
  3. Follow the prompts to restore your system.

Option 3: Uninstall Recent Updates

  1. In WinRE, go to Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Uninstall Updates.
  2. Try uninstalling the latest quality update first.
  3. If that doesn’t help, uninstall the latest feature update.

Option 4: Perform Startup Repair

  1. In WinRE, go to Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Repair.
  2. Let Windows attempt to fix boot issues automatically.

Option 5: Reset the PC (if other options fail)

  1. In WinRE, go to Troubleshoot > Reset this PC.
  2. Choose Keep my files to preserve personal data.
  3. Follow the prompts to reinstall Windows.

If the suggestions helped solve the problem, please let us know by clicking “Accepted Solution.” It really helps fellow users find quick answers.

A quick “Yes” also goes a long way in showing appreciation!

Take care and happy computing!

Best regards,
