My nephews' computer suddenly started showing the "Startup repair" screen when they powered on yesterday. I tried some fixes from Microsoft but nothing worked. Couldn't even get into Safe Mode.
Finally I tried the HP Recovery Manager. After an hour, it stopped and said "Restoration Incomplete." After power down and restarting, it looks like it goes to a profile screen that says "Administrator" and has a wallpaper image before displaying the "Restoration Incomplete" screen again.
I downloaded the logs but there are a lot of files in there so I don't know which might be helpful to post here. How can I get this computer back up and running?
Edit: This computer is less than a month old.

Hello;
Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!
You will need help from HP Tech Support to get your PC working again, and we can not put you in touch with them from here.
While this PC is still under warranty, you should contact HP Customer Support directly to have them put you in touch with HP Technical Support to see what they can do about troubleshooting and repairing your machine remotely.
I did this recently and the HP Tech was able to remotely access my PC from the Internet to check out the problems.
If you live in the US or Canada, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1
If you live elsewhere, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html
NOTE: After you get through, stay on the line until you are finally able to talk to some one -- it can take a while!
If you have trouble finding a phone number, then try: 1 (800) 474-6836

However, HP Customer Support is generally not available on the weekends, so you might have to wait until Monday to contact them.

With the failure to boot and subsequent Recovery failure I would be a little leery of the hard drive in his computer. If this happens again-or perhaps even if it doesn't- I would run Diagnostics on the drive before warranty is out. Immediately after powering on start tapping the Esc key. This will open a menu where F2 System Diagnostics is an option. Tap F2 key and run the tests.
