HP ENVY x360 Convertible Laptop PC 15-ed1000 (169W3AV)

My computer randomly makes a loud high pitch sound whenever my computer is sitting there, even when it is off. The only time it doesn't make this sound is when I mute the volume and even then it will stop for a minute then resume making the sound and I will have to unmute and mute again for it to stop briefly. I contacted Microsoft support and they went through and made sure all my drivers were up to date which they were, and told me that it more than likely is a distributor problem. Using my computer gives me a headache when I need to listen to something, people have told me it could be interference with the mic but whenever I disconnect it the sound continues and with the built in one when I click mute the high pitch ringing continues (it is a continues sound not something that goes on and off by its self), any ideas on what the problem could be??
