Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Im stuck in the “Press esc for startup menu” screen. I first got stuck in this screen because I wanted to do a bios update in the Hp Support Assistant app that came pre installed on the PC. Now Im going to be honest I regret a lot buying the pc, when I first bought it in the christmas of 2018 I got one that didn't work so I went back to best buy to replace it, and that one did work. But I was naive and I just wanted to play Fortnite. The thing doesn't have any upgradability, the psu is proprietary and its like 400 watts for a rx580. Now that we’re in quarantine it would be a great time to time-waste playing video games, but Im stuck in this screen that I got stuck in because of the HP support assistant that came pre installed. I ignored its notifications for so long until I caved in and that was my downfall.

I long exceeded my warranty but can someone help me getting out of this screen. I tried taking the lithium battery out, and putting it back in after 5 mins. But nothing works windows 10 is downloaded in my 128 gb ssd. But the case is so small I have yo waste 1 hour taking it apart and unscrew it. Is there some way I can get out of this screen without taking it apart.

When I press esc nothing happens its a black screen with my specs in the top left corner.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue. I would suggest performing system factory reset will put the computer back to the original factory settings in this way all corrupted and outdated software will be removed.

While doing the recovery there is an option to backup your personal files. If you have not previously done one now is a good time.

Restoring Files that were Backed Up Using HP Recovery Manager (Windows )You can also contact HP support for assistance. They can remotely access your system to help alleviate difficulties: www.hp.com/contacthp/

The HP Cloud Recovery Tool allows you to download recovery software to a USB drive. You can use the downloaded recovery image file in order to install the Windows operating system.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
