HP Recommended

I tried to plug my IPhone into one of the USB ports in the back of my computer last night and the computer immediately shut down.  This happened a couple of times last year when I tried to plug an external hard drive.  I called HP support and they guided me through some steps to correct it.  But, I’ve forgotten them and they are unavailable.  The computer is an HP Envy 34 all in one desktop.  The operating system was recently upgraded from Windows 11 home to 11 Pro.
