I just was trying to switch out my power supply and my graphics card both are compatable to change, except one thing my power supply is a Thermaltake 420W and it doesn't match the CD/DVD-RAM player for the power to it. I can't go with out it if I never really use the cd/dvd player but I mean is this output power supply new or what should I do? I don't really want to buy a new power supply just to put in my graphics card but I mean what if I do need my disk driver etc? the cord is so small I don't see any like it in terms of power supply what types of upgrades are compatiable to a HP ENVY Desktop ? Just want to know everyones opinion and if this is a huge road block or should I just not care and put in new card+powersupply ?
(this is the intel optane memory) Also what part of the computer is the optane memroy is their any power supply to it that I should worry about I don't see anything or is the memory have to just do with the two 16 GB ram cards and I am fine?

Hi,
Perhaps the below adapter cable will work.

From: http://www.thermaltake.com/products-model.aspx?id=C_00001023
Support 6-pin PCI-Express, 2 SATA, and 20+4 pin connector.
Additionally, the "gallery" page shows eight(!) of the Molex-brand IDE/ATA connectors, and two 4-pin "floppy" connectors.
What power-connector do you have on your CD/DVD device that is neither SATA nor Molex?

Well the cord is very small I will take a picture of it tonight for I have to go to work and then do college+church but I know it has a lot of the normal power supply mabye I am looking at it wrong. Also the cord wont actually come out of the CD/DVD disk player. I feel If I pull it anymore it will break something cuz I pulled pretty hard. I will post a picture later before I go through with the changes.

Some connectors require "squeezing" it before pulling it off -- either the sides, like the 30-pin connector on the iPhone 1/2/3/4 or 1/2/3/4/5/6 generation iPod Nano, or the top/bottom, to "unlock" the connector.
