I've got an HP desktop which I've only had for about three weeks. Everything seemed to be okay until I switched it on last week and was met with a red box containing the message "secure Boot violation - invalid signature detected. Check secure boots policy in setup.
I contacted the Currys helpline and spoke to the know how people but they were pretty useless, to be honest. They told me that a software issue is something I've got to deal with myself. They did, however, try and help by giving me instructions on how to reinstall the operating system. As of yet, I've not tried it. I did download Windows 10 onto a USB stick and I'm already to try and get things fixed. I just need to know how to do it. If somebody could help I would be very grateful

Welcome to the HP Forums!
Thank you for posting your query on this forum, it's a great place to find answers.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
In order that I may provide you with an accurate solution, I will need a few more details and I would appreciate if you could, perhaps elaborate on your concern.
- When was the last time the computer was working fine?
- What is the exact model for your computer?
- Have you made any software or hardware changes on the computer?
- Have you performed any troubleshooting steps before posting?
While you respond to that, I recommend you update the BIOS and the chipset driver from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.

If you continue facing the issue, I recommend you follow the steps in the below article to perform a system restore on the computer.
