I had the PC 3 days ago, brand new, in the task manager the process 'system interrupts' is always between 5% and 15%, mostly in the upper parte of the range.
This makes the CPU (i5 7400) working always at max speed as the total CPU load never goes below 20%, even without any running app or related process.
Any experience like that and a way to solve it?
The graphic adapter is a Nvidia gtx 1050 2GB, included in the stock configuration.

Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and would like to assist.
Congratulations on your purchase of a new HP Pavilion Desktop - 570-p000nl PC. I read that the CPU usage is never below 20% even though no tasks are being performed. In the task manager, the "system interrupts" process is always between 5% and 15%. Not worry, I'll do my best to help you.
In simple terms, the "system interrupts" process is where every time a hardware device or a piece of software performs a certain task, it needs to inform the CPU in advance. When it communicates with the CPU, it raises an interrupt, and the CPU will immediately terminate the task at hand to process the interrupt.
I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:
- Shutdown the PC.
- Disconnect all cables and devices from the PC. Disconnect the power cable too.
- Press and hold the power button of the PC for 10 seconds and then release it.
- Reconnect the power cable, keyboard, mouse and the monitor.
- Power on the PC.
If the issue persists then please continue with the following steps:
- Press CTRL + ALT + Del to start Windows Task Manager and end processes not needed under Processes tab. Besides, it is highly recommended to disable those processes through Startup. After disabling them, restart your computer to check whether your CPU usage is down.
Disable USB Root Hubs:
- Open the device manager.
- Find and expand Universal Serial Bus controllers dialog. Then right-click on each USB Root Hub except the ones for your keyboard and mouse. Choose Disable device.
- Note: Check which USB Root Hub is for your keyboard and mouse: Right-click on USB Root Hub to choose Properties. Then you can see the Attached devices on Power pane.
- After disabling your USB Root Hubs, check if the CPU usage comes down.
Disable Network Adapters:
To disable the network adapter, follow these steps:
Step 1. Click Start > Control Panel > Device Manager > Network Adapters.
Step 2. Click on the adapter you are currently using and choose Properties.
Step 3. Click Advanced tab.
Step 4. Disable the Wake on magic packet and Wake on pattern match functions.
Disable All Sound Effects in Enchantments Tab:
The Sound Enchantments could cause System Interrupts. When you play music or video files, the System Interrupts will go up, which will cause high CPU usage. Disable it through the steps below:
Step 1. Right-click on the speaker icon
Step 2. Select Playback devices
Step 3. Click on the speaker Properties
Step 4. Go to the Enhancements Tab
Step 5. Click Disable All Sound Effects
Step 6. Click OK.
If the issue still persists then update the BIOS on the PC via this HP link: www.hp.com/drivers
I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great. Let me know what happens. Good luck!

Finally I found what's responsible for the high DCP, it's the high definition audio controller.
Disabling the audio controller driver in System devices everything works fine, no effects disabling only the audio device driver (realtek).
This driver is windows native, so I believe it's a HW problem with the audio device, isn't it?
Should I conctact the support for a HW problem?
Thanks for your support
