The project was a success. The disc image worked beautifully and it actually created a folder to put the old version of windows in there and just labelled it Windows.old and after I was done I just deleted the folder. That process took a while as it was over 150GB of data. Now there is just Windows 10 and the partition is still there which has the original Win 7 recovery media to which I will just delete. Use this LINK to see instructions. The extra disc space will be nice and Win 7 is outdated and the bundled software that comes with HP computers will be outdated as well. SO why keep it. Thanks Again Paul for your patience and help you were a great resource.
