System bios update failed. Unable to open bios image file. Will not respond to keyboard at all.

Hi @Greg266 

 

Welcome to the HP Forum.

 

You should be able to recover the BIOS.

 

Download the BIOS update file for your PC, using a different PC, at this Link.

 

Run the BIOS.exe on the host PC.

 

Select "Create a USB BIOS Recovery flash drive".

 

Connect this USB BIOS recovery drive to your PC. Start the PC.

 

Follow the prompts to fix your PC's BIOS.

Thanks for the suggestion, Bill. I was skeptical when the PC would not respond to the keyboard at all as you usually have to tell it where to boot from you were right! That fixed it all automatically. Thank you for the help 🙂
