Just purchased this computer from HP. It came with the system drive already encrypted with BitLocker. I wish to do a clean install of the OS with a bootable USB flash drive. My system OS is Windows 11 Home edition. How do I disable the encryption to be able to install the OS fresh?
I tried disabling the BitLocker Drive Encryption Service, it says it's disabled but the drive is still encrypted and the bootable USB won't allow me to install.
I don't know why they encrypted the drive in the first place.
Help! I want a clean install of the OS, not a drive pre-installed with trialware et al.
