I tried updating this computer from windows 10 to windows 11. There was no power to the monitor on the restart, and it would not reboot. I tried everything but to no avail. I took the computer to Best Buy's Geek Squad for a checkup. They stated that I have a bios problem. The update attempted to update my bios and the OS simultaneously, which deleted my bios. Best Buy's Geek Squad said they could not update the bios onto the computer after multiple attempts. Any ideas apart from just junking this computer. The computer is reasonably new; I have had it for 15 months.

@islandman1 -- Best Buy's Geek Squad said they could not update the BIOS onto the computer after multiple attempts.
Find a local "owner/operator" computer store. That person often is more knowledge than any "non-certified" computer-technician working at any of those "big-box" consumer electronics stores.
Also, browse this discussion forum. There are several experts who have provided advice to other people in the same situation as you.

First, since Win11 requires TPM, in some PCs, that is configured using the UEFI settings. So, if yours is not enabled, you would need to go into the UEFI Security settings to enable it. This is a Settings issue, not a BIOS Update issue.
Second, there have been performance issues with Windows 11 and AMD Ryzen CPUs and both AMD and the different motherboard manufactures have come out recently with AMD driver changes to correct this. But, this is an AMD driver issue, not a BIOS update issue.
Only idiots believe that BIOS updates fix everything -- and that sounds like what you ran into.
I agree with @itsmyname about taking the PC to someone who know what they are talking about.

I know a little about computers but going into these settings may be a bit out of my league. I will take your idea and that of @itsmyname to someone reputable. Thank you very much. I will keep you'll updated with the repairs.
