HP T510
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

Is there a way to use MSATA port on T510 ?

I bought a msata ssd and connect it to msata port, but it does not recognised with windows 10.

I tried to install kingspec driver, but it does not work.

It is a problem with bios or driver ?

I install windows 10 on SATA port with hdd.

@McAneyth -- Is there an option in BIOS to activate port ?

On one Dell Dimension tower that I worked on, the answer for that motherboard is "yes".

Since I do not have the same HP motherboard as you do, I can only suggest two things:

  1. enter BIOS SETUP, and answer your own question
  2. connect the SSD to some non-HP computer, and run "Disk Management" on that computer, to see if that computer will recognize the SSD.

I hope this helps.

Have you used the Windows "Disk Management" tool to "initialize" the device, and to assign a drive-letter to it?

A non-initialized disk-drive is "invisible" to Windows.

I tried to open disk management tool, but the disk is not present.

Is there an option in bios to activate port ?

@Itsmyname -- Many thanks,

1 - I do not see this possibility in bios

2 - I will search for adaptator and try.

Hi,

I tried with a SATA/mSATA adaptator and the disk is correctly recognised.

I think that mSATA port of T510 is not activated or not used for SSD disk.

Thanks.
