Current situation: Infineon SLB9660 TPM chip with specification 1.2 version 4.43.257.0.
SoftPaq 87753, which is compatible with my desktop, contains the binary needed to upgrade from specification 1.2 version 4.43.257.0 (current) to specification 2.0 version 5.62.3126.0.
From an admin cmd, the command:
TPMConfig64.exe -t
produces a file named TestResults.txt which does not report any upgrade incompatibilities.
From an admin cmd, the command:
TPMConfig64.exe -fTPM12_4.43.257.0_to_TPM20_5.62.3126.0.BIN
recognizes the given binary file as valid and attempts to start the upgrade process as stated by the TPM firmware image is valid and is updatable. log line.
EFI is successfully found and mounted, and the binary file is correctly copied.
Then the log file reports: Failed to set TPM Firmware update ready state, hr = 0x0, return code = 0x3. which however is not reported as an error.
Eventually, the log reports an error which says: EFI flash failed: 0x103.
I have already tried erasing data & resetting ownership of TPM from both Windows and BIOS, but nothing ever changes.
What can I do? Is there a newer SoftPaq that I am missing that solves this issue? Is this a way to say that actually there is no intention to update the SLB9660 chip, which is reported as upgradable to specification 2.0 by Infineon?
