Out of nowhere, the TPM seems to have disappeared from my machine. tpm.msc says it doesn't exist:
Device Manager is playing dumb:
And the BIOS doesn't have anything in it that says TPM (sorry, no screenshot for that one).
Is this something that just...happens? I can't use Office 365 until I find the TPM somewhere, apparently. Kind of putting a damper on my plans.
Thanks!

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
- Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
- Have you encrypted your hard drive with BitLocker?
While you respond to that, let's try these steps:
Let's run BIOS Update: Follow steps from the link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c00042629
Next, perform Windows Update and HP Support Assistant:
To check for updates now, select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update, and select Check for updates.
Install updates from HP Support Assistant: Go to Download HP Support Assistant to install the tool.
- To open HP Support Assistant, double-click the HP Support Assistant icon
. - Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
- Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
- Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
- Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
- Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.
Also, clear the TPM cache
Open the TPM MMC by typing tpm.msc in the service box
If the User Account Control dialog box appears, confirm that the action it displays is what you want, and then click Yes.
Under Actions, click Clear TPM.
You will be prompted to restart the computer. During the restart, you might be prompted by the UEFI to press a button to confirm that you wish to clear the TPM.
After the PC restarts, your TPM will be automatically prepared for use by Windows 10.

@hoborocks
Glad to hear that the issue is resolved.
Due to new update bios interference might have changed, however, open the Device Manager and look for a “Security devices“ and see if it has a “Trusted Platform Module”
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
