Hi:
Unfortunately, I would have no idea what the problem could be, or how to fix it.
It could be a hardware issue, or a software issue, or both.
I recommend you run any diagnostics tests available in your PC's BIOS menu.
On some models, the F2 key gives you access to those tests (memory and hard drive).
If not, you can make a bootable USB flash drive from the link below...select the 4 in 1 key file -- bottom file in the middle.

If all the hardware passes, then I suggest you reinstall Windows and see what happens.

Hello Paul,
Thank you again for your reply. I performed a memory test and hard disk test on my PC and below is what I found.
Memory test: passed
Hard disk test: Long DST Failed.
Could you pls let me know what is Long DST failed error?
Is there an issue with the hard disk? (I am wondering if there was an issue with the hard disk why I was able to install windows completely and it was working that day but next day no icon on the desktop was running.)
Also, I used USB mounting to check HDD and it was running fine on my laptop, I was able to copy all files on this HDD and I played files also, they were running fine.
Is there any problem with the processor but memory test passed? I am confused.
Pls advise.
Thank you so much again for all your help Paul!

You're very welcome.
The Long DST failure means that you will need to replace the hard drive and reinstall the operating system.
That is very strange since your original post indicated that you installed a fresh (I assume new) hard drive.
That is why you are having issues with your PC.
After you replace the drive, your PC should work fine again.
If you just bought the drive, it should be under warranty, so you can contact the manufacturer for a RMA and replacement.

Hi Paul,
I was using an old hard disk and did not buy a new one. I meant, I installed fresh windows, not the hard disk. but I was able to install windows completely on this old HDD. I think, some part of this HDD is damaged and needs to be replaced.
Thank you again. I will let you know once I will buy a new HDD and install windows on it.
