Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi support community out there,

I would like to know, we have some clients model  HP t730 which r running following image since 3 years.

Operating System: Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB Image 15WWGTFJ601 Englsih (Sept 2017)

Basically image creation is through HP ThinUpdate Tool.  I recently open and tool and filter with client's model and found there is new Windows version 2019 LTSC is available, My question is if we install this new image from 2016 LTSB to 2019 LTSC, Should we need also license ?

Thanks in advance!

If you purchased your 2016 LTSB with 'Software Assurance' you may have access to the 2019 LTSC licensing in your VLSC, if not then you will likely need to purchase the licensing.

Good info on LTSC vendor pricing.

Hi GamingOptional,

Thanks for your reply!

Thin-clients  with WIn10 IOT Enterprise 2016 LTSB  is directly purchased from OEM HP Inc. So there is no additional license added later on, all factory inbuilt.

I am not sure but i think we need additional license to move from Win10 IOT 2016 to 2019 LTSB ?

Thanks
