I got rid of my HP 4180 printer & replaced with HP Deskjet 3755. Now every time i start I get a message that TrayApp.msi needs to be downloaded but it can't be found. Is there an easy solution to get rid of this message - none of those on this site provide an easy answer.

The HP Trayapp.msi application is a part of much older HP printer, manufactured in 2011 or earlier.
Try / Consider
Check / Uninstall old software
Control Panel > icon view > Programs and Features
If you find the old printer software, uninstall it.
Check / Remove old device
Control Panel > icon view > Programs and Features
If you find the old printer, Right-Click on it and remove it.
If any software / device is removed, Restart the computer and log in.
Unlikely,
Check the Startup list - if you find unwanted entry, remove it
Example
C:\Users\YourAccount\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

The old HP document on the subject is here:
HP and Compaq Desktop PCs - Resolving MSI Startup Errors
The instructions are to reinstall the offending program / software.
Completely reinstalling the printer software is not an option - and is not what you want.
The best you could do in that case is to dig out and uninstall / remove all instances of the printer that you can find.
What else?
The entry might be buried in the Registry.
The document instructs that you use a Microsoft tool to dig out and remove the offending entry.
Fix problems with programs that can't be installed or uninstalled
