Microsoft Windows 11

Hi. I am running HP Pavilion All In one PC24 Desktop. About 5/6 days ago I had a bios update from the HP Support Assistant. Since the update I am having trouble coming out of sleep mode, it can take anywhere from 5/10 minutes to boot  back into normal use. I have tried running diagnostic scans etc with no luck. Any ideas ? Thanks

Me too. I have two computers that have the same bios version F.14    4/11/2023 updated from HP Support Assistant and am also having problems with sleep mode (waking up from sleep, BSOD etc.) both AMD Ryzen 7 4800H with Radeon Graphics. When I wake up from sleep I usually always get event id 161 volmgr and event id 41 kernel power in windows event viewer. Sleep worked fine on F.11 bios. Done clean install of windows 11, resets, troubleshooters. Nothing fixes it. Sfc /scannow and dism restore health find no corruption.

Thanks for the reply EAWIN1. Have you had any luck with this problem ?

I done a complete reset plus every diagnostic scan that I can find and still have this problem. My desktop warranty expired in April as bad luck would have it. I'm lost here and do not know what to try next.

Nope. Done everything you’ve done. My warranty’s expired too 😞

I appreciate if you could help us HP!! This problem is major. I can’t leave the computer on all the time. It needs sleep mode to work! It’s like the update corrupted something. Been trying everything to fix it, nothing works! Very frustrated!

That is two of us with exactly the same problem. I have done the complete reset on the desktop and this did not resolve the problem. HP, please find a solution to this problem. It is very frustrating.

NEVER MIND, DIDNT WORK!  It worked until I shut down the computer. Now it isn’t working again today! Won’t wake up from sleep mode, blue screen, event viewer id 41 power kernel. Thought your steps fixed it. I guess not! So frustrating! Can’t roll back the bios to f.11 either. Blue Screens every time it wakes up from sleep! Please change to NOT SOLVED! I’ve been trying everything to fix it! Nothings working. Tried sfc /scannow, dism commands, resetting the computer to factory settings, resetting the bios to defaults, did chkdsk, recovery, recovering the bios, updated drivers, reinstalled Windows 11, and did updates in HP Support Assistant. I get Event ids 161, 41 and others when I get the BSODs. This is making me think about not getting a HP computer next time. Please help us. Both of us are very frustrated. I have two of the same computers and they BOTH have these issues! The computer works great when its not asleep!
