I need a cord that will plug into my D-Sub-IN (new LG monitor) and into the HDMI port on my HP Envy 750-514 desktop computer.

D-Sub just refers to the style of the connector and how it connects.  It could be VGA, HDMI or some other type

Can you provide a URL to the LG monitor were we can figure out the type of D-Sub ?
