Microsoft Windows 11

I have a problem with my caps lock- every time I use it or the shift key on the left hand side it randomly types Qerui  and also opens the calculator.

I have tried to find the answer - any ideas? it's driving me nuts!

@Jampot29, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Test a different keyboard
If you're on a laptop, plug in a USB keyboard and test.

Check for stuck keys
Tap all keys firmly, especially Q, E, R, U, I, Shift, and Caps Lock.

Turn off Sticky Keys

Windows: Settings > Accessibility > Keyboard > Turn off Sticky/Filter/Toggle Keys

Scan for viruses

Run a scan with Windows Defender.
