desktop model:
M01-F1120
L56021-604 HP Motherboard
Put in Rx550 video card, but the original psu was 180w
Ram died, mobo died
Now
New 400w psu ,
replacement mobo.
Using original ram (8gb).
I get the 8 beeps with white led. Then it restarts and then gives another prompt.
I’ve made 2 different usb recovery drives. One 32 gb one 16gb. I used the exe to format and copy the files but the screen I showed above is what I keep ending up on. I’ve even chose the “copy files directly” option and tried all the usb ports on the board.
when I assembled it all there was an hp bios update but then after that I’ve been having these problems. I’ve moved the clear cmos and password jumpers and waited then put them back. I’ve take the battery out for a while, took the internal/only ssd out and tried to boot.
i just keep getting the above message.

Well, it simply may not work -- as those used boards are taken from PCs. You should see if you can return it for an exchange -- but I doubt they will do that.
Also, the HP product key was embedded into the firmware of the old board. When you tossed that, you tossed the license as well and HP will not sell or issue you a new one. The license embedded into the firmware of this board might NOT activate with your copy of Windows and if it does not, you are then stuck buying a new retail license.

My guess is that you have been unable to boot since replacing the mobo, right? Did you get a new board from HP? Or did you buy a used board from a third-party source?
