I purchased an HP laptop that came with Microsoft Office 2021 pre-installed. After my laptop was serviced, I can no longer find any Office applications installed. I was informed that I needed to activate Office by opening any Office app, but now those apps are missing. I did not receive a product key when I purchased the laptop. I would like assistance in reinstalling Microsoft Office 2021 and recovering my product key if needed for activation.

Hi @Noman2024 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand that during the servicing of your laptop, Microsoft Office 2021 was removed, and now you're unable to find or activate it. Since your HP laptop came with Office pre-installed, it's likely that the activation was tied to your Microsoft account rather than a product key.
Here’s what you can do to reinstall and activate Microsoft Office 2021 on your HP laptop:
1. Check Your Microsoft Account for Office License
Since Office 2021 was pre-installed, your license is probably linked to your Microsoft account. Follow these steps:
- Go to Microsoft's Services & Subscriptions and sign in using the Microsoft account you used when you first set up Office on your laptop.
- Check if Microsoft Office 2021 is listed under your services or subscriptions. If it’s there, you can reinstall it directly from this page.
2. Reinstall Microsoft Office 2021
- Once you confirm your Office license is linked to your Microsoft account, you can reinstall Office:
- Go to Microsoft's Office Download Page, sign in with your Microsoft account, and select Install Office.
- Follow the instructions to download and install Office on your laptop.
3. Activate Office
- After installation, open any Office app (like Word or Excel). If prompted, sign in with your Microsoft account, and Office should automatically activate.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
