I have been trying to install (Via an ISO image on DVD) a clean install of Windows 10 Home 64 BIt, . The upgrade in place did not work to update my Win 7 machine, (SAFE_OS Phase error) , so MS told me I needed to do a fresh install. I attempted to do this, and this includes partitioning my RAID drives (so I no longer have the HP recovery drive).
No matter what I do, I am stuck at the getting at the "getting files ready for installation"
I have followed most of the steps suggested on the net - removed all unneccesary devices, replaced wireless keyboard and mouse with USB connected, removed some of the memory (from 8GB to 4GB), there is NO UEFI option for my BIOS, and it boots ok from the DVD.
Can any one suggest how I can get past the hang up?
