Microsoft Windows 11

Product All in One PC24-dp0000wa (7TT88AV)

Try to update BIOS for says "Family SSID 86F3, Version F.42.

Downloads after checking space and check marks ok.

Goes to install but a pop-up says:

"There is not enough free disk space to complete the system BIOS and Device Firmware update operation.  Delete some

files to free disk space then retry again."

I have 1TB hard drive and 2TB SSD with plenty of free disk space?

Do not know what files the pop-up is referring to delete and how?

What steps to do?

Hi

This is the latest BIOS update for your motherboard: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-all-in-one-pc-24-dp0000wa/38323466/swI...

Download sp143666.exe and try a manual installation.

I would stop trying a BIOS update if a manual update fails. Also, you cannot reinstall previous BIOS versions after successfully installing this BIOS update.

Thank you for your prompt reply, but:

I'm not sure how to manually install as you say?

I did download the file, from the HP website you provided, to the computer.

Then launched it.

It went thru the same step as before with the same result.

So if manually is different than what I did, can you provide steps or web location that I can follow?

Thanks in advance

Hi

My pleasure

You did a manual install but it fails. Maybe there is a problem with the HP BIOS update.
