Product: Pavilion 790 TPC-W051-MT
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Trying to follow https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06701407 to fix known HP/Microsoft screw-up that has bricked my desktop. Downloaded new bios softpak and followed all directions. Set up USB with fix. Went through BIOS menus as described in fix. When I tell it to install, I get: The System BIOS update failed. Unable to open BIOS Signature file." I double-checked. The signature file is there in the same directory as the BIN file, just like it's supposed to be. So now what?
