HP Desktop - M01-F0022na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The HP 3-in-1 Media Card Reader on my PC will not allow me to write to any SD card i insert, when i try formatting it, it says it is write-protected.  I have ensured the lock tab is in the unlocked position, i have tried the Diskpart method, which although says it has removed read only, it doesn't, and i have tried Regedit, and that still doesnt make any difference.

I am able to format the card on other devices, but noy my desktop.

Is the card reader faulty, unable to work with 128Gb and 512Gb cards, or something else?

I haven't tried another card reader yet, but thats my next step (need to borrow or buy one)

Anyone had similar issues and if so did you manage to fix it?

Thanks in advance
