Product: 260-a114
Operating System: Ubuntu LTS
I need to update the BIOS for this computer using Ubuntu.
tl/dr HP provides BIOS updates as Windows EXEs which don't run on LINUX.
I was able to identify the correct ROM family from the bios and retrieved https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp101001-101500/sp101381.exe. Following instructions from https://blog.frehi.be/2022/05/04/updating-hp-bios-firmware-from-linux/ I was able to extract a singl... (081B3F37.exe) from sp101381.exe. Sadly, it's another windows EXE and the bin file is not available. 7zip says it's not a valid archive file.
Short of reinstalling Windows, what other options do I have?
