Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi there,

i've just installed this file: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-260-g1-desktop-mini-pc/7375834/swItemI...) for my HP 260 G1 pc Desktop. This is the first BIOS patch upgrade I run for this PC.

Do is it enough to have the latest version of the bios or do I have to install all the previous files also?

02.24 Rev.A
02.21 Rev.A
02.20 Rev.A
02.19 Rev.A
02.18 Rev.A
02.17 Rev.A

Thanks

Greetings,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

BIOS updates are normally cumulative.

Your site link is temporarily unavailable. You are fine if you have installed the latest HP BIOS update.

You would not have to install prior BIOS revisions.

i am sorry: the right link is https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-260-g1-desktop-mini-pc/7375834 (expand BIOS)

So, do you think the latest BIOS includes all the previous patches?

Hi Geremia,

I would say the latest BIOS update (2.25 Rev.A) includes all cumulative previous fixes and additional fixes subsequent to the previous BIOS update (2.24 Rev.A).

You don't have to install each BIOS revision. The last BIOS update includes previous fixes.

One exception would be if a previous BIOS revision introduced a "bug". Then HP would modify the latest BIOS update to correct or remove the previously released bad microcode.

Regards
