OMEN 30L Desktop - GT13-0380t CTO

I need help updating my  OMEN 30L Desktop - GT13-0380t CTO motherboard with USB through the bios. When I go into bios and select HP PC Hardware Diagnostics I don't see the option "Firmware Management or BIOS Management." and there doesn't seem to be any other place where I can update my bios.

Greetings @soroshisu

Welcome to the HP Forum.

Are you having a problem since you need to update the BIOS outside of W10?

HP offers two BIOS updates for your PC:

MB SSID 8703 at this Site, DoradoOC or DoradoOC-AMP

MB SSID 8704 Here, Dorado

You will have to figure out which MB is installed in your PC. HP System Info or Windows System Info would have this if you can run Windows. Check the MB for the SSID or a MB name if you can't run Windows

You should be able to create a USB BIOS recovery drive.

Doing the BIOS update is your decision. Be patient when doing a BIOS update, don't interrupt this update and loss of power during a BIOS update can corrupt the BIOS.

You need to download the correct BIOS update for your specific HP PC on a second PC if your PC cannot run Windows.

Run the BIOS update. Then select (if present) the USB recovery drive option. You would need a blank USB stick to do this.

Insert the successfully prepared USB BIOS Recovery stick in your PC when the PC is off. Press and hold down the "Windows Key" and the "B" key at the same time. Now simultaneously press and hold the power button for 2 to 3 seconds. Then only release on the power button.

The BIOS recovery should start. The above process works on some HP PCs and sometimes fails on other HP PCs.

A local PC Tech should be able to do this if you cannot update the BIOS.
