Google ended all support for their Chrome web-browser in January 2016.

It still runs, but you are getting a message that it is "not supported".

How old is your computer? My guess is at least 7 years old.

Given that it is running Vista, it was manufactured between April 2007 (when Vista was released) and January 2010 (when Windows 7 was released).

Note that the warranty on the disk-drive was just one or two years -- definitely not seven years. So, you have an "antique" disk-drive.  I hope that you are making backup copies of your personal files.

If you do install Windows 7 now, you will need to upgrade to Windows 10, in January 2020, when Microsoft terminates support for Windows 7.

By that time, the disk-drive will be TEN years old -- definitely past its "best-before" date.

My recommendation is to "retire" the computer, after physically removing the disk-drive, and to purchase a newer computer.

For example, if you are in the USA, access www.BestBuy.com

and do a search for "refurbished computer".

You will find desktop and laptop computers for about $200 US.

These computers will be running Windows 7 (supported by Microsoft until January 2020 -- just over 2 years away) or Windows 10.

Note that the "retail" price for the Windows 10 software is over $100.

So, you are getting all the "hardware" for around $100 -- a bargain!

These refurbished computers will not be good for "gamers".

But, for everyday use as an "appliance", they will be perfectly fine.

You may temporarily connect your existing disk-drive to the new computer, to copy all your personal files from "old" to "new".
