From the specs you posted, your PC should run W10, but the IDT audio may not work.

If it doesn't work after you upgrade, see if this W10 IDT audio driver from a newer model desktop PC works on yours too.

Restart the PC after installing the driver.

I believe that you will end up with W10 Pro after upgrading from W7 Ultimate.

The HP motherboard name for the Pegatron motherboard was 'Cleveland' as indicated in the parts list I posted yesterday.

The Crucial memory report indicates your PC will support 4 x 4 GB of memory.

Chipset specs from the Intel website:

If your PC came with a Wi-Fi adapter from HP, do you know what model it is?

Those old Wi-Fi adapters may or may not work on W10.

Since the model series has been retired, the documentation is hard to find if it even exists at all.

You shouldn't have to update the BIOS to upgrade to W10, but there is a v7.15 update that must have been the last one HP released for the PC if you want to take the risk on updating it.

This is a reputable 3rd party driver website.

W10 should install a graphics driver for the Nvidia GPU.

I have 3 open PCI-E slots do you think adding a 256gig ssd to one of those or use the one open SATA connection for my primary drive.

HP Recommended

I recommend you install a 2.5" SATA SSD.

I'm not sure you can boot from any of those PCIe slots, and they won't support a NVMe SSD unless perhaps for storage only.

You will need a 3.5" to 2.5" drive caddy to properly mount the smaller 2.5" SSD where a 3.5" drive goes.
