For years I have been trying to figure out the solution to WHEA-logging errors in my Event Viewer, they are logged hundreds of times every day. There are 2 devices that get the WHEA-logging error:

A corrected hardware error has occurred.

Component: PCI Express Upstream Switch Port
Error Source: Advanced Error Reporting (PCI Express)

Primary Bus:Device:Function: 0x3:0x0:0x2
Secondary Bus:Device:Function: 0x0:0x0:0x0
Primary Device Name:PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_43B2&SUBSYS_02011B21&REV_02
Secondary Device Name:

Component: PCI Express Legacy Endpoint
Error Source: Advanced Error Reporting (PCI Express)

Primary Bus:Device:Function: 0x3:0x0:0x0

Secondary Device Name:

The "PCI Express Legacy Endpoint" hardware ID "PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_43BB&SUBSYS_8399103C&REV_02" points to my "AMD USB 3.10 eXtensible host controller - 1.10 (microsoft)" which has a driver detail name of "USB xHCI Compliant Host Controller" but it references "8399", which is my BIOS version number, as a SUBSYS.

The "PCI Express Upstream Switch Port" hardware ID references itself, but both of these devices fall under "PCI Express Root Port" (hardware ID PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_1453&SUBSYS_8399103C&REV_00) when I "view devices by connection". The "1022" VEN number is AMD, but they say it's a BIOS problem, and they are clueless as to how to fix it.

I have tried everything I can find to fix it, in years nothing has worked. I have done extensive research on this problem, and it appears that for many years, many people have this same problem and pretty much no one on any website has a solution that fixes these errors. They do all seem to have a "Ryzen" processor in common, no matter what computer brand it is, but I don't know if it is a BIOS problem or AMD's problem. The only BIOS update ever listed on Hp's own driver site is from way back on November 13, 2018, for my 8399 F.23 BIOS.

If anyone has a solution, I would appreciate the help.

I am using an Hp Pavilion desktop 580-137c on a "Basswood" motherboard
