Greetings,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

Please explain what you were doing when you got this error.

This would help to limit the scope of troubleshooting required. It could be an operating system code, or a software code, or a Anti-Malware warning if the digital signature for a specific file is invalid.

It is not always possible to find the cause of all error codes.

Regards

Hi Mr_GT,

This is very unusual.

Were you having any problems prior to moving the PC? The error appears to be a Windows boot loader or driver signature problem. Please see this site (Link) for info on repairing the bootloader. Malware is always a wildcard in this situation.

See if you can run HP UEFI Diagnostics at boot. Tap "ESC" before the operating system loads. Then select "F2". Run full system tests. More information on HP UEFI diagnostics (Link).

You may have to use W8.1 installation media to try to repair the bootloader or disable driver signature validation. You can download a W8.1 Home COEM ISO image at Heidoc (Link). Then use Image Burn (Link) to create a bootable DVD or use Rufus (Link) to create a bootable USB stick.

You may have to remove the HDD so you can back up data using a different PC if a bootloader repair fails. Do this if you have to reinstall Windows.

You can choose to install W8.1 clean or use HP recovery media to reinstall the HP factory image. Did you make HP factory image recovery media? The Heidoc W8.1 OS installation media (above) can be used to do a clean Windows install. Download HP drivers at this HP Support site (Link) if you do a clean Windows installation.

HP Factory Recovery media can be purchased at this site (Link). Look at "Order Recovery Media-CD/DVD/USB". There are two options. I don't know why two kits exist, but you must get the correct recovery kit to succeed.

Regards
