Greetings @Chef-Guy 

 

Welcome to the HP Forum. 

 

I live in the USA.

 

Many PC repairs shops do PC recycling and component recycling.

 

And some communities have old: PC recycling and electronic component recycling collection centers.

 

You might want to either: keep the drives installed in the PC or physically destroy the drives installed in the PC before recycling your PC.

I would recommend removing any of your data by doing a clean reinstall the Windows OS.  If you are not intending on receiving any money but donating, try a local Senior Center.  I am sure they will help with that.
