I run my HP diagnostic test and get this message, 'Exception from HRESULT:0X8007007K'. What is it and how can I fix it?

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.  

  

Restart Your Computer:

  • Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary issues.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Ensure that your Windows operating system is up to date. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates.

Update Drivers:

  • Make sure all your drivers are up to date. Visit the HP Support website and use the auto-detection tool or manually select your model to find the latest drivers.

Run HP Support Assistant:

  • Use the HP Support Assistant to run diagnostics and auto-fix some issues. If you do not have it installed, you can download it from the HP Support Assistant page.

Scan for Malware:

  • Perform a virus and malware scan using Windows Defender or other trusted antivirus software to ensure your system is clean.

System File Checker:

  • Run the System File Checker (SFC) tool to repair corrupted system files. Open Command Prompt as an administrator and type sfc /scannow and hit Enter.
