Sometimes, devices in a computer are numbered starting from ZERO, and sometimes from ONE.
A "bus" is a vehicle for mass-transit of people, from point-to-point.
On a computer, a "bus" is some electrical circuitry for transporting signals between devices.
Peripheral Component Interconnect ( PCI) is a local computer bus for attaching hardware devices in a computer and is part of the PCI Local Bus standard. The PCI bus supports the functions found on a processor bus, but in a standardized format that is independent of any particular processor 's native bus.
So, "device 1" could either be the first or the second device connected to the "bus".
And, "function 0" is the first function that the device is capable of processing, Some devices, such as the circuitry for disk-drives, can simultaneously handle multiple disk-drives.
The short answer is that you have something connected to your computer that Windows does not recognize. Usually, some "device-driver" software must be installed, to enable Windows to use the device.
If your computer, and its internal/external devices, is functioning correctly with this device in that "unknown" status, don't worry. Just keep using your computer.
Red Green: if you have not yet broken it, you are not trying hard enough. 🙂
