When I turn on my HP Pavilion 23 it beeps 5 times for five reps and the screen doesn’t come on

When I turn on the computer it beeps 5 beeps in a sequence of 5 times and doesn’t turn on

Hi:

 

The 5 beep error code means that there is something wrong with the PC's memory.

 

One of the memory modules is probably bad, and needs to be replaced.

You're very welcome.

 

Your PC's support page should have a service manual.

 

If the PC came with two memory chips, remove one and see if the 5 beep code goes away.

 

If not, remove that chip and install the first one you removed.

 

Replace the defective memory module (chip) with a compatible one.
