When clicking the browse or plus sign in any application or program does nothing

When clicking the browse button or plus sign in any application or program it does nothing. I cannot add photos to facebook for instance unless I drag them there, I cannot insert anything into a word document, I can't add pictures to lightroom unless I drag and drop them there, the list goes on, I click the plus and nothing happens.  Updated everything,

First of all, the reason no one has responded before this is if your apps aren't working properly, we can't help you with that because we have no information or means to debug problems with non-HP applications.

Second, I have no idea what you mean by "browse button" or "plus sign".  Perhaps if you explain what those mean, I can provide some suggestions.
