Hi @RAVI179,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Laptop PC 15s is showing a blank screen when you open the camera, there could be several reasons for this issue. Here's a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and resolve the problem.

Check for Physical Blockages

  • Ensure that the camera lens is not covered or blocked by anything.

Restart Your Computer

  • Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve many issues.

Update Camera Drivers

  • Open Device Manager:
    1. Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
    2. Expand the Cameras section.
    3. Right-click on your camera and select Update driver.
    4. Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.

Reinstall Camera Drivers

  • Open Device Manager:
    1. Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
    2. Expand the Cameras section.
    3. Right-click on your camera and select Uninstall device.
    4. Restart your computer, and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver automatically.

Check Camera Privacy Settings

  • Go to Settings:
    1. Press Windows + I to open Settings.
    2. Select Privacy.
    3. On the left sidebar, select Camera.
    4. Ensure that the toggle switch under Allow apps to access your camera is turned on.
    5. Make sure the application you are trying to use has permission to access the camera.

Run the Windows Troubleshooter

  • Open Settings:
    1. Press Windows + I to open Settings.
    2. Select Update & Security.
    3. Select Troubleshoot from the left sidebar.
    4. Click on Additional troubleshooters.
    5. Find and run the Camera troubleshooter.

Test the Camera with Another Application

  • Sometimes, the issue might be with a specific application. Try using the camera with a different application like Skype, Zoom, or the built-in Camera app.

Check for Windows Updates

  • Open Settings:
    1. Press Windows + I to open Settings.
    2. Select Update & Security.
    3. Click on Check for updates to ensure your system is up to date.

BIOS Update

  • Sometimes updating the BIOS can resolve hardware-related issues. Visit the HP Support website, enter your laptop's model number, and check for BIOS updates.

Restore Default Camera Settings

  • Open the Camera app, click on the settings gear icon, and choose Restore default settings if this option is available.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
