sorry, you ask how to update the bios, at the request of microsoft, correct?
now you say you did the bios update, before having any problems, still correct?
Then according to your version, it seems that we have the same motherboard SSID 8437
For the model of the computer, you have several possibilities (1)

now reread my answer carefully, i have an older version of the bios, and no update problem!
You already have the latest version for the Tampa2 ssid 8437 motherboard, so it's not possible to update this bios!
It is possible that your update problem has nothing to do with it!
It is recurrent, as soon as problem, one indicates to us that it is necessary to make the update of the bios, except in the majority of the cases, that has nothing to do!

but now if you did the update, then just try the microsoft update again, simply, it might work this time !

Give the full name with the product number P / N

this is not a model:
HP Desktop M01-F1xxx
the requested product number must look like this
Product Number: 9EE50AA # ABA
the model corresponding to this number will therefore be
HP Desktop - M01-F1033wb

more info will be needed @woldsweather2
I have a computer, which may be from the same series as you
Named Pc 880-p1xx, except it is actually
The 880-177nf..
I don't have the latest bios update, but it still works perfectly with all windows 11 updates
bios: 2018 f.22
windows 11 22h2
build 22621.1413

it is possible that updating the bios solves your problem, as it is possible that it does not change anything, or even make the situation worse!

I now can't get in my PC to check whether I have updated the bios.

This was a prequisite from Microsoft so they could help me with my windows problem (PC bricked after installing Feb cumulative update - delaying this was finally not possible).

what state is your computer in exactly?
can you start, immediately type the f10 key several times, in order to have access to the bios precisely?

After I had hopefully updated the BIOS I couldn't get windows to star again no matter which system resorted I chose (F11 to get to bios/reset etc options).

THEN I spotted an option to uninstall the latest windows updates which I did and got windows running again.

Then ran Belarc advisor and found the BIOS previously 2020 had up dated. It shows my pc as HP OMEN by HP Desktop PC 880-p1xx so I don't know how you get the exact model.

BIOS now UEFI: AMI F.56 10/24/2022.

Now updated I can get back to Microsoft who are trying to sort the problem of why the Feb cumulative update bricks my PC.
