Hello All, I do not know why I can not save a word doc on my new HP computer desktop     Please advise.  I am in school and need access quickly to my files but can not add files to my desktop.

@Terrea-121 -- personally, I think that it is a bad idea to store your files on your "Windows desktop".

Instead, store them in your "Documents" folder. Once stored in that folder, you have more options to "find" the file (by date, by name, by size) than if you stored the file on your "Windows desktop".

I have seen users with so many documents stored on the "Windows desktop" that not all the documents are visible, and they spend minutes trying to read all the file-names, to try to find a specific file -- a waste of their time, because they are not "organized".

I was looking forward to really receiving a helpful post to read from someone knowledgeable yet un opinionated and snarky.
