Why won't BIO F.46 install into my HP Pavilion 590 -p0057c?, I have tried twice now and keep getting an "installation failed" message. Is this BIOS update not really compatible with this PC and the HP Support Assistant software is to stupid to know this?

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I guess my expectation is/was HP made this system, surely they would know what BIOS this system has and not to "push" a BIOS update to me, the user, if it was not applicable to my system.
Hey i'm just the ignorant user...trying to get this machine ready for Windows 11 upgrade.
I guess I will just keep trying over the next.....................weeks.....months...........hoping that at some point a BIOS update will load that was actually designed for this system. Michael 🙂

If your computer is compatible, you do not necessarily need a bios update, normally
This is not the first time that I have encountered this, it is not because it is not available from the product page that it is not necessarily incompatible
Unless it's some other error, the SSID as I could see is the same, so normally expected for this model
In any case, no need to dwell on the doubt, but check directly from the page given above from time to time can be

see here, you find the same motherboard
