Good morning! I did not know what to put for any of the categories but I realized that my desktop is still running on windows 8. I tried to update it to the latest windows but when i do all that pops up is "This App can't run on your PC. To find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher."
I understand that i have an old desktop but i had 131 newer updates that i needed to do and i waited for all of them to complete. They completed just fine but i'm still not able to even update it to windows 8.1. My desktop is on Windows 8 (64-bit). Can you please help?

Hi:
You can upgrade to W10 for free like this:
Make a bootable W10 USB 64-bit installation flash drive with the media creation tool from the link below.
Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)
It will be easier to do this if you have a PC running W10 or W11 because on W7 or W8.1 you need to make some registry changes in order for the media creation tool to work. See this link if you only have your PC to use.
Have your PC running and at the Windows desktop.
After you create the bootable W10 installation flash drive, plug it into your PC's USB port.
Do not boot from the flash drive.
Open the flash drive in Windows Explorer.
You will see a list of files on the flash drive.
Double click to run the Setup application to begin the upgrade process to W10.
