Each time it try to update Windows Version 1803 I get error messages and a brief description that files are missing. A Microsoft Tech Agent helped me get through the first issue via remote desktop. I just tried to install FB4338819 na i am getting the same issue gain.
The MS tech told me that this PC does not support WIN 10 anymore, is HP going to fix this issue?
I did not tice that on the HO site it says there are no more updtes or driver downloa for any purchased ater 2013.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

10/4 just delete the windows cache files, and activate the HP Assistant for any updates you may need from HP. Don't always rely on Microsoft for updates. Reseach alteritive sorces while HP gets this corrected.

I was afraid of that although I think it would have been nice if HP did not force us to have to purchase a new system when they could have provided/created the required updates needed to conform to Windows 10. There was no warning we just found out the hard way. Could at least giving a notice, now I am stuck with a OS that I cannot use on my PC and the salution you advised is to go back and purchase WIN 7 which I had until did the free upgrade that everyone was pushing for WIN 10. I cant revert back to 7 anymore so I have to go buy another OS. Not ahapy camper.
I am very dissappointed in the way HP has handled this and I will probably moe away from HP products in the futur after using them for decades.
I do not see this same issue with other brands. I was an extremly satisified HP user until today and I imgine that I am one of many. I do not have a money tree in my backyard to purchase a new PC whenever HP needs to boost there sales.
Very very disappointed and no longer a satisifed customer.
I do appreciate your prompt reponse to my question.

For the last few days since purchasing the 690-0020 computer, the system has wanted to install the 1803 update.. But I cut it off at the pass by turning the auto update off via the services option. With his disabled, I was able to locate this link via another forum:
https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/mckittrick/windows-update-issues-clear-windows-update-cache/
Knowing this as allowed my system to update to its max capacity without installing the 1803 ver. This may not make since, but after I followed this links suggestions & activated the HP assistant, I was able to allow HP to scan my system and install only that software needed to keep my system running smoothly. All while not even suggesting or asking to update to the 1803.
Perhaps Microsoft has gotten word (finally) that this 1803 update isn't working for allot of computer owners. Plus not to leave anything out and I believe someone said this.. But I discovered an HP page which sums up HP's feeling on this 1803 update.. reads something like, ":it's not been tested etc" In other words.. Microsoft is trying to force an update on our systems without it even being thoroughly tested by Microsoft or HP.
My suggsetion would be to follow the above link, activat the HP assistant, then check or un-check those updates your system may need.

I have had sucess installing Window Updates on my machine.
I have done the following steps
1. I used this link provided to me from AmpLighter in a reply to my post. Here is the link. KUDDOS AmpLighter!
https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/mckittrick/windows-update-issues-clear-windows-update-cache/
2. Turned off my non MS virus protection. I use System Mechanic Pro.
At times I have to go through these steps for each MS update and other times I have not had to. regardless it seems to work. I will update anything new, good or bad if I should come across it.
Thanks for the help!
