Hi,
Floppies: I don't think so. I still keep 25 floppies for Windows 95, must be few thousand floppies for Windows 10. Very, very, very expensive to store files and transport.
DVD's: would be out soon, new machines will have Windows 10 (or who knows) pre-installed and/or downloaded. You still can find Windows 10 DVD's in some countries where users still have to use dial up modems.
Hope this makes sense.

The next announced date for the upcoming Creator's Update is early 2017, most likely, sometime around March.
You can make a DVD for installing using the MS Media Creation Tool: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/media-creation-tool-install?ocid=ms_wol_win10
Good Luck

After switching from windows 7 to 10, I no longer can ply DVD's. I used a floppy drive to play floppies. Now I have Windows 10, 64 bit. Quite an improvement, but we had to give up some stuff. By adding Window 10 Upgrade, are we going to give up more stuff?

Free software for plaaaying DVDs: http://www.videolan.org
> I used a floppy drive to play floppies.
You still can, if your computer has either an "internal" or an "external" (USB-connected) drive.

Details, please. What did you give up?
Windows 10 has a "compatibility mode" for putting a "wrapper" around old software, to make it think that it's running under an older version of Windows.

No.
